Hanscom Helps :
COVID - 19 Response
Hanscom Helps is an initiative to bring together resources and volunteer efforts to those who are in need in the Hanscom Park neighborhood association. During a challenging time as our community battles COVID-19, we understand that one of the most effective ways to continue being a strong and resilient neighborhood is for neighbors to help neighbors.
On this page you can sign up for assistance, or volunteer to help others by being a neighborhood point person or just offering to lend a hand. The goal of our mutual aid program is to connect neighbors with compromised immune systems with neighbors who can help, and to keep our community connected. |
COVID-19 Mutual Aid
If you are an individual looking for support, please fill out this form. We are a group of neighbors reaching out to create a network to support each other, especially those with compromised immune systems or other underlying health issues, the best we can.
If you are looking to volunteer to lend a hand, please fill out this form. By filling out this form, you are adding yourself and any supports/offerings that you can make to our neighbors. People will be able to see your name, email address, and what you can offer, and are invited to reach out to you directly for support. Once your offering has been taken up, let us know and we can cross you off of the available offerings list.

Point Person Sign-up
As things get harder, we show up for our neighbors. As a neighborhood point person, you’d take on the responsibility of reaching out to your neighbors, checking in on what needs are arising on your block and staying in touch with the point people from other neighborhoods for resource pooling.
If the area you already live in already has an assigned NPP, we will get in touch with you to see if you can be assigned to a nearby area.
Omaha Metro-area Resources
Please see the following comprehensive lists for resources ranging from childcare, to food opportunities and other necessities. We will continue to update this information as we become aware.
